This project involved the design of support bents and frames for conveyors and receiving bins. I used free online software and STAAD.Pro structural analysis software to design the structures.
Edgewood, BC Biocarbon, Heartland Steel, Carrot River - Biorefinery Slab & Mezzanine
This project started out as the design of a drive on slab for a Biorefinery located in Carrot River. After becoming involved, the project scope increased to to include the design of supporting structures, design of a mezzanine for offices, equipment layout, and the creation of a GA drawing for the entire project. I was not involved in any drafting for this project, but I created rough draft AutoCAD sketches to send to both our internal drafting department and the client in order to convey my designs. As with most of the other projects I worked on for Scouten Engineering, in addition to being the design engineer, I acted as project manager. I wrote proposals, took meetings with clients, and created timelines for the project.
Newcrest, Red Chris Mine - Ventilation Supports
This project involved designing supports for ventilation ducts running to and from an underground mine. My responsibilities for this project included engineering design, site visits, report writing, and field review.
TDB Consultants, City of Prince George - Waste Water Treatment Plant Guardrails
Scouten Engineering was engaged by another consulting company to complete the design of a guardrail system inside a waste water treatment plant. I acted as project manager and design engineer. When there were issues obtaining someone to assign the drafting work, I decided to take on the drawings for this project as well.
